TV-Conference (c) Goethe-Institut

INPUT Thessaloniki 2017

In 2017, the INPUT took place from May 7-12, in the heart of Thessaloniki, Greece. It was organized by the cooperation of Municipality TV 100, the Greek public service broadcasting ERT and the Goethe-Institut which have elaborated an exciting new concept for TV representatives and productions from all over the world. As a result, 81 productions from 39 countries were screened in 33 sessions and followed by intense discussions by 495 international delegates.

We are glad that last years Mini-INPUT Calgary in Colombo 2016 has had such a rewarding effect on the Sri Lankan television landscape as four applications, by Sri Lankan TV professionals, were handed in for the INPUT Thessaloniki jury by the National Coordinator for Sri Lanka. We are also very excited that one of the applications, “Meritorious Action” by Athula Peiris and produced by the SLRC, has been successfully selected, being the first Sri Lankan contribution to the INPUT conference and screened as “INPUT FIRST TIMER” in the presence of its director Athula Peiris and the Sri Lankan National Coordinator, Athula Disanayaka.
The next step was to organize a Mini-INPUT Thessaloniki in Colombo 2017.
