“Flight and Destiny”

With the film series “Flight and Destiny” we would like to introduce you to five films that approach the subject of flight in different ways. Based on the stories of individuals the films deal with themes such as homelessness, fear, destruction, loss but also cohesion, reconciliation and reunion.
What does it mean to leave home at mortal danger? How does it feel to start a new life in a foreign culture? How is returning to the land from which one's parents once had to flee like? These and many more questions will be illuminated from different perspectives by the films we have selected for the coming film series which will be screened every Friday from 5th July to 2nd August in our Goethe Hall. .
