For Goethe-Institut partners and institutions that organize digital cultural events:

The corona crisis is hitting performing artists around the world particularly hard, and there’s no telling when it’s going to let up: events with a live audience are being cancelled and cultural institutions and clubs are closed because public gatherings carry a risk of infection. People are withdrawing into their homes, into private spaces.

On the web, on the other hand, performing artists can reach viewers in their living rooms with everything from house concerts livestreamed from Buenos Aires and puppet theatre from a kitchen somewhere to live acts from the Berlin club scene. Kulturama.digital invites the global public into a boundless, borderless world of digital cultural life.

The Goethe-Institut’s Kulturama.digital platform provides a global calendar for digital cultural events in order to support and link up our partners. Organizers and artists worldwide can list their live streams and videos-on-demand and open them up to an international audience. On Kulturama.digital, users will find dates and times for cultural events and can make a donation to support artists of their choice.

Organizers/artists can participate as follows:

  • Organizers/artists can list their live streams or videos-on-demand of their event on a web form and upload links and pictures. They should also indicate the language of the event. The listing can be in English or any other language.
  • Organizers/artists who wish to solicit audience support can invite fans to donate and should include a link for donations.
  • The Goethe-Institut regularly monitors the platform to make sure that extreme, hateful and illegal content is removed.
  • Each listing is automatically deleted after the date of the digital event.
Kulturama.digital may be used by anyone free of charge.
