Harun Farocki takes us back to examine the role of photography and image-making technologies: how they served political purposes and shaped human perception. Through aerial photographs taken by the United States military during the Second World War, the film reveals images of the Auschwitz concentration camp that no one noticed at that time. Its presence was only discovered decades later by CIA officers.
