Alumniportal Deutschland

Tens of thousands of people from all parts of the world are studying, working or conducting research in Germany or at German institutions abroad or taking part in advanced training or language courses. The Alumniportal Deutschland, the internet platform for Germany alumni, can help them to stay in touch with each other and with Germany after their return to their home countries.

The Alumniportal Deutschland has been online since September 2008. The internet portal is a communication and contact platform on which a world-wide net of Germany alumni with close professional, expert and private connections to German interests is being established. At the heart of the portal is its online community, where alumni establish, secure and maintain contacts, exchange ideas in groups, forums and blogs and take part in webinars. The Magazine offers a range of interesting articles, job opportunities, tips and information on the German language as well as event information and alumni news.

The Alumniportal Deutschland is open not only to scholarship holders of all funding organisations but also to those who self-financed their training in Germany or at a German institution abroad. This means that this is the first world-wide forum for all Germany alumni. We invite you to register with the Alumniportal Deutschland, to create a profile, to stay in touch with Germany and expand your world-wide network!

The Alumniportal Deutschland is a free service financed by the German Federal Foreign Office and supported by three German organisations with many years of experience in foreign cultural and educational policy. The Goethe-Institut is one of the three supporting organisations, contributing topics  on "culture" and "German language" and offering the service to its own alumni.

Newsletter

The free weekly Alumniportal-Newsletter delivers quality recommendations from experts and information about Germany, information about interesting discussions and activities in the community, as well as an overview of all recent alumni events and networks. The free “Verstehen Sie Deutsch” newsletter presents a daily figure of speech or a curious German word for you to puzzle over.
