Our Library is open Mondays through Fridays from 1:00 to 6:00pm.

Circulation

Our library is open to the public and the in-house use of books, audio-visual media and information services is free of charge.

eLibrary

The eLibrary is the virtual library of the Goethe-Institut New York for the USA. This service allows you to borrow digital media for a predetermined period of time.

Service and Activity

German Book Club

The Book Club of the Goethe-Institut New York reads contemporary works of German literature. If you'd like to join a discussion with others who are interested in German literature, then this is the place for you.

Translation Grant Program

The Goethe-Institut's translation grant program provides support to non-German publishers for the publication of titles translated from the German. 

German Consultation in the Library

Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30pm

Walk-ins welcome, but priority given to those who have registered via an email to language@newyork.goethe.org.
