What we offer

Circulation

Our library is open to the public and the in-house use of books, audio-visual media and information services is free of charge.

eLibrary

The eLibrary is the virtual library of the Goethe-Institut New York for the USA. This service allows you to borrow digital media for a predetermined period of time.

German Consultation in the Library

Wednesdays from 5:00 - 6:00pm

Missed a class? Need help with your homework? Or want to speak German outside of class? Our German consultation is on demand, so please register in advance via an email to language@newyork.goethe.org.

German Book Club

The Book Club of the Goethe-Institut New York reads contemporary works of German literature. If you'd like to join a discussion with others who are interested in German literature, then this is the place for you.

Translation Grant Program

The Goethe-Institut's translation grant program provides support to non-German publishers for the publication of titles translated from the German.
