Invite DDR Witness Dietmar Schultke – Digital Presentations for Your School
Bring history to life for your students! The Goethe-Institut is offering American schools the opportunity to host Dietmar Schultke, an author and witness of life in the former East Germany (GDR), for an engaging digital presentation.
Mr. Schultke grew up in East Germany, experienced life behind the Iron Curtain firsthand, and is currently participating as a historical witness in a feature-length film about Bruce Springsteen’s 1988 concert in East Berlin.
Topics include:
- Life in East Germany before 1989
- Challenges of living under a communist regime
- Personal stories of courage, hope, and cultural exchange
