Summer at last! At the Goethe-Institut, that means unpacking the big screen, hanging it outside in the backyard, and enjoying entertaining German films together on mild summer evenings. This year, we’re partnering with German Films, Germany's film marketing agency and a strong partner of the Goethe-Institut worldwide, to bring you some of the most successful German films over the past seven decades.
From the Oscar-nominated comedy Toni Erdmann to the science fiction romance I’m your Man, written and directed by Maria Schrader, to the Tom Tykwer classic Run Lola Run and the Oscar winning World War I drama All Quiet on the Western Front - there will be a different film every Wednesday in August.

As always: Admission is free. The films will be shown in German with English subtitles. We are looking forward to welcoming you at our open air theatre in the Goethe-Institut's backyard at 170 Back Street. Feel free to bring friends, snacks, and beverages.
