Helmut Lachenmann @ 90

Pre-Concert | Performances of Lachenmann's works by students from Boston-area conservatories

A man facing the viewer in the foreground, musicians in the background. Helmut Lachenmann

Join us for a special performance featuring students from Boston-area conservatories playing works by Helmut Lachenmann. Lachenmann's "musique concrète instrumentale" created a new and unique sound world using extended instrumental techniques that require special skills often not taught in the normal curriculum and resemble learning a new language to acquire. Come celebrate the accomplishments of these students and support the next generation of Lachenmann performers!
