Schubert: Winterreise
Konzert|Part 1 of Emmanuel Music's Winterreise Experience
-
Goethe-Institut Boston, Boston, MA
- Price Karten: $41.20 oder "pay-what-you-can"
Winter's chill is reimagined through Schubert's timeless Winterreise. The stark beauty of the original song cycle, performed by baritone David Tinervia and pianist Ian Watson, is part of Emmanuel Music's "Winterreise Experience," pairing Schubert's timeless classic with Hans Zender's 1993 "composer reinterpretation" of the work for tenor and orchestra.
To bridge the journey between Schubert and Zender, we invite you to join us for a conversation between Grammy award-winning tenor Nicholas Phan and Emmanuel Music’s Artistic Director Ryan Turner on Thursday, March 19 at the Goethe-Institut ahead of Phan’s performance of Zender’s imaginative resetting for tenor and orchestra in Distler Performance Hall on March 22. We encourage you to join us for all three events to complete the Winterreise Experience.
David Tinervia baritone
Ian Watson piano
Note: William Hite and Jiayan Sun were originally scheduled to perform Schubert's Winterreise but had to withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances.
