Panelists
Sheri Berman is a Professor of Political Science at Barnard College, specializing in European politics, democracy, and populism. Her acclaimed book Democracy and Dictatorship in Europe explores the history of political systems across the continent.
Hans Kundnani is a Open Society Ideas Workshop Fellow and Lecturer at Boston University and a leading expert on European politics and Germany's role in the EU. He is the author of The Paradox of German Power.
Christina Morina is a historian specializing in modern European history and political ideologies. Currently a visiting professor at The New School, she is also a professor at Bielefeld University. She is the author of Tausend Aufbrüche. Die Deutschen und ihre Demokratie seit den 1980er Jahren.
Steven E. Sokol is the President of the American Council on Germany and a prominent voice in transatlantic dialogue.
