1301PE is pleased to announce its second exhibition with Düsseldorf-based artist Jan Albers. Albers’ work is widely considered as one of the central positions of abstract contemporary art. Known for his method of ‘constructive deconstruction’ Albers creates hybrid three-dimensional wall pieces by reinterpreting materials from the fields of both construction and classic sculpture, such as polystyrene, wood, steel, concrete and bronze. Following the critically acclaimed solo exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven and the Von Der Heydt-Museum Wuppertal in Germany, the artist will present new work in his Los Angeles exhibition (November 11th – December 20th, 2016).
Presented with the support of the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles
