Professional Development Training|with Melanie Mello and Ute Hoefel. Eligible for Idioma credit.

  • Online Online

Please join us for this hands-on workshop to learn how to master the 3 key components of teaching German with time for reflection and feedback.

This is a 3-part workshop:

1. Assessments: Discover effective methods for assessing your students' proficiency by implementing tasks that accurately reflect their understanding, progress, and language skills. Gain insights into the ACTFL proficiency levels and learn how to create Integrated Performance Assessments (IPAs) that align with your teaching objectives.

2. Lesson planning: Enhance your lesson planning skills by exploring strategies to streamline the prepping of classes and materials without compromising quality. You will go home with all tools necessary to cut your prep time in half while ensuring the high standards of instruction your learners expect.

3. Differentiation
Learn about the various differentiation options (e.g. organizational, didactic, etc.) and see practical examples of tasks, methods and materials in order to tailor your lessons to the individual learning needs of your students so you can optimally support every student.

Each workshop will be 90 minutes long. The dates for the sessions are:
August 22
September 05
September 19

We are looking forward to seeing you there!
