Welcome back to the 20th Century Music Concert Series, organized by Maestoso, Inspirito School of Music and Goethe Institut Hanoi. 20th Century Music Concert Series has reached its 10th concert. To celebrate this milestone, Inspirito would like to bring you a colorful musical party, with a touch of humor and perhaps being the most joyful concert of the whole concert series. The concert is named La Revue de Cuisine, taken from the work of the same name by musician Bohuslav Martinu, tells a daily life story of familiar objects in a kitchen. In addition, there are many other unique and interesting works waiting for you to discover.

The program has the participation of: Luu Duc Anh (Piano), Nguyen Duy Long (Bassoon), Tran Viet Bao (Piano), Yuki Urushihara (Trumpet), Nguyen Thien Minh (Violin), Nguyen Minh Hoang (Clarinet), Dao Tuyet Trinh (Cello), Nguyen Duc Thuan (Piano), Duong Hong Thach (Piano), Kyle Acuncius (Percussion).

Musicians

Luu Duc Anh (*1993)
Luu Duc Anh Foto (Ausschnitt): © Inspirito School of Music graduated with a Master's degree in Piano Performance from the Royal Consulate of Liege, Belgium and the Malmo Academy of Music, Sweden. He has won many international awards, performed in many countries around the world as well as played with many orchestras such as Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, London Chamber Orchestra, Helsingborgs Symphony Orchestra, Ho Chi Minh City Opera and Opera Orchestra, Liege Symphony Orchestra, ...

He currently teaches at the Piano Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, co-founding the Maestoso and Inspirito School of Music.

Tran Viet Bao (*1993)
Tran Viet Bao © privat studied at the Vietnam Academy of Music from 1999 to 2012. He is currently studying at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest (Hungary) under the guidance of two professors – Jeno Jando and Nemethy Attila.

During his career, he has achieved many domestic as well as international competitions such as: Second Prize at the Vietnam International Piano Competition, Best Chopin Nocturne performance Prize, Gold Medal at the International Piano Festival in Cheonan (Korea),…

Duong Hong Thach (*1990)
Duong Hong Thach Foto (Ausschnitt): © Inspirito School of Music studied Piano Performing at Intermediate level and continued with a Bachelor at Vietnam National Academy of Music with teacher Nguyen Huy Phuong. In 2015, after earning a Bachelor degree in Vietnam, he continued to study his Master’s degree in Piano performing at Gnesin Academy of Music, Russia and graduated in 2018. Thach has participated in various piano masterclasses with well-known musicians and professors such as Prof.Tran Thu Ha (Vietnam), Prof. Fumiko Eguchi (Japan), Prof. Boris Kraljevic (Serbia)… After returning to Vietnam, he became a teacher at the Piano department, Vietnam National Academy of Music.

Nguyen Duc Thuan (*1999)
Nguyen Duc Thuan Foto (Ausschnitt): © Inspirito School of Music started studying Piano at the Vietnam National Academy of Music (VNAM) under the guidance of lecturer Hoang Vinh Huong and then Dr. Nguyen Hoang Phuong. After completing the Intermediate Piano level, he continued to study Piano Performance at the Vietnam National Academy of Music (VNAM) and earned his Bachelor's Degree in 2021.

He is currently a lecturer in Piano and Advanced Music Theory at Inspirito School of Music. He is one of the most active performers in the field of Modern and Contemporary music. He is also one of the few musicians who regularly perform their own musical compositions. In addition, he is also working at Vietnam Academy of Dance as a visiting piano lecturer.

Nguyen Duy Long (*1988)
Nguyen Duy Long Foto (Ausschnitt): © Inspirito School of Music studied Bassoon at the age of 10 under the guidance of Professor Nguyen Phuc Linh at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music. After that, he completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Sydney Conservatory of Music, Australia with a full scholarship.

During his studies, he joined the Sydney Youth Orchestra; went on tour in Germany and the United States with the youth orchestras of the Sydney Conservatory and performed with students of prestigious conservatories such as the Juilliard School of Music and the San Francisco Conservatory. 

In 2019, he returned to Vietnam to work at the Sun Symphony Orchestra, and is currently teaching at the Vietnam National Academy of Music and St. Mary's.

Nguyen Minh Hoang (*1983)
Nguyen Minh Hoang © privat studied the Clarinet since 1995 at Vietnam National Music Academy with two professional clarinetists namely Nguyen Lam and Nguyen Quoc Bao.

From 2007 to 2014, he had been accomplishing Bachelor and Master's Degree with Prof. Joachim Klemm as well as accompanying Prof. Sonja Gimaletdinow at C.M.von.Weber Music Academy in Dresden (Germany). 

From 2009 to 2013, he had a music tour in Köhl and Leipzig and also attended Masterclasses held by famous lecturers. In 2014, he performed with Hanoi Chamber Orchestra. In 2016, Hoang performed Weber Clarinet Concerto No.1 with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO). In 2015, he served as the Principal Clarinet of VNSO and became the Assistant Principal Clarinet of the Sun Symphony Orchestra (SSO) in 2018.

Yuki Urushihara (*1990)
Yuki Urushihara © privat graduated from Trumpet University and Graduate School in Rostock Conc theorem academy, Germany. He has performed in many orchestras such as Tokyo Junior Philharmonic Orchestra, Asian Youth Orchestra, Staatsoper Berlin, Orchestra Akademie of Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock. He currently works at the Sun Symphony Orchestra and teaches Trumpet and Ensemble at the Inspirito School of Music. He is also a founding member of Hanoi Brass Community, the first brass ensemble and community in Vietnam.

Nguyen Thien Minh (*1993)
Nguyen Thien Minh © privat studied Violin at Vietnam National Academy of Music with Dr. Nguyen Trong Binh and Lecturer Nguyen Chau Son. During that time, Minh won first prizes at the "Autumn" National Music Competition in Hanoi (2007) and first prizes at the 3rd ASEAN International Concerto Competition in Jakarta, Indonesia (2009).

Minh has appeared as a soloist with Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and Ho Chi Minh City Symphony Orchestra. As an orchestral member, he has performed and went on tour with many international orchestras around the world. He was also the guest performer at various music festivals held in many countries.

Minh obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees with highest honors under the tutelage of Professor Stephan Barratt-Due from the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo, Norway, where he was the recipient of a grant from Transposition, a program funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From 2017, Minh returned to Vietnam and since then, teaches as violin professor of Vietnam National Academy of Music.

Dao Tuyet Trinh (*1964)
Dao Tuyet Trinh © privat Started studying Cello with teacher Dang Kim Thuan, then teacher Nguyen Ngoc Hien and teacher Vu Huong.

During her career, she was a musician with the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra (VNSO), then the Sun Symphony Orchestra (SSO).

Besides, she is a member of the Song Hong - a chamber music group that has performed in many places of Vietnam. They were also invited to perform in China, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore, UK, USA.
Trinh is also a member of the Hanoi New Music group, they have participated in many performances with pieces composed by local and foreign composers.

Kyle Acuncius (*1986)
Kyle Acuncius Foto (Ausschnitt): © Inspirito School of Music holds Percussion Performance degrees from the Interlochen Arts Academy, the Eastman School of Music (B.M.), Indiana University (M.M.) and two degrees from the University of Michigan (M.M.-Chamber Music & Specialist in Music). Kyle is currently the Principal Timpanist of the Sun Symphony Orchestra, Hanoi. Prior to his appointment in Vietnam, he held the position of Principal Timpanist of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra and served as instructor and coordinator of the percussion program at Mahidol University’s College of Music in Bangkok. Kyle is also a proud endorser of Zildjian Cymbals, Black Swamp Percussion and JG Percussion.
