- Part of series: Sustainable Together: Cultivating Sustainable Futures
The second Cultivating Sustainable Future workshop will be hosted in collaboration with Wild Moringa called Umndeni Pots: Routes to Roots. In the readiness of networking with like-hearted souls, they will be hosting an offering that showcases the instant play with root foods that are currently in season. Wild Moringa will share their curated family food traditions with indigenous crops, as well as the different creative and intentional ways of cooking root foods like cassava, amadumbe and yams, and their ideal pairings of the sorghum grain, vegetables and herbs. Turning these root foods into naturally sweet desserts will also be part of this offering. The moringa seed, plant, root, and leaves will play a collaborative presence in all the holistic interactions and storytelling. Some of the produce is foraged from the African Marmalade Farm.
