In the twelfth edition of the Lingo Global series, young learners of German can sensitise and inform themselves on a total of 11 pages on the subject of world hunger and food in the world.
There is enough food for 10 billion people in the world and yet 735 million people worldwide went hungry last year. Why do people go hungry and what is being done about it? What do people around the world eat and drink? The current issue of Lingo Global provides important background information, graphics and correlations on these and other questions. It also introduces initiatives and organisations that are committed to combating world hunger and provides tips on how to deal with food in a sustainable way.
The learning objectives are:
