Description

There is enough food for 10 billion people in the world and yet 735 million people worldwide went hungry last year. Why do people go hungry and what is being done about it? What do people around the world eat and drink? The current issue of Lingo Global provides important background information, graphics and correlations on these and other questions. It also introduces initiatives and organisations that are committed to combating world hunger and provides tips on how to deal with food in a sustainable way.

The learning objectives are:

to build and expand vocabulary on the topic of food and world hunger
to deal with the 17 goals of sustainability
to think about possible solutions to a problem
to learn how to describe and evaluate graphics / statistics
