A German-Indian project about bodies, identity, and social conditioning. Rebecca Mary Narum (DE/USA) and Purnendra Meshram (IN) encounter each other with their visibly different bodies and experiences. Using contact improvisation, real-time composition, and a transparent plastic sheet as a symbol of social “skins,” they explore closeness and difference, visibility and withdrawal. The project invites the audience to actively participate—not only as spectators, but as co-researchers. In open rehearsals, interactive workshops, and performances “Unwritten Bodies” becomes a space for encounter. Sound (Fiona Combosch) and film expand the dialogue on a sensory level. This artistic research is not a finished product, but a living, site-specific process: an invitation to encounter oneself and others anew in the space between imposed identity and freedom.
