Welcome

Projects 2025 | Round 15

Coproduction partners: Homemade Ensemble - Totzeret Bait (Israel), Junges Theater Augsburg e.V. (Germany)
Both partners - Homemade Ensemble Tel Aviv / Jaffa and Junges Theater Augsburg - deal with topics that are strongly present, formative and relevant in the society of their respective countries: Racism, diversity and the coexistence of many cultures. The political situation in both countries is currently exacerbating and further polarising the existing cultural gaps and attributions. With their production, the co-producing theatres address these topics and raise awareness of democracy and a pluralistic society among children aged 6 and over by sharpening their awareness of these issues in their own everyday lives. They address the topics of racism, diversity and the co-existence of different cultures in an age-appropriate way and make them artistically accessible with dance, multilingual performance and music and a multinational cast. Inspired by the children's book ‘Doors’, they deal with children's fears of the unknown. They encourage children to dare to look behind the doors - perhaps a successful society is waiting there.
