Getvico24

GETVICO24 is a virtual German teachers' conference of Goethe-Institut that takes you around the world in 24 hours every two years.

In 2024 the conference took place from June 6 to 7, 2024 and offered a stage for a variety of inspiring practice-oriented contributions, new insights from theoretical GFL research and space for networking with like-minded people worldwide.

The 7th GETVICO24 has been a success

GETVICO24 entered its seventh round this year. On 06/07 June 2024, the interested GFL community worldwide was able to choose from a total of 142 contributions in our rich program. 162 contributors presented their in-depth expertise from teaching practice as well as theoretical findings from GFL research. Over 2,500 active conference participants from around 118 countries were able to take part in the conference and learn from and with each other.

The motto of this year's conference was "German moves/is on the move". Where is GFL teaching heading? Which proven methods characterize the teaching and learning of German today and what can we expect in the future? What is the best way to encourage your own students to learn and experience German and possibly open up new career paths? The range of exciting and current topics that affect our subject is immense and it was examined very closely during our conference.

The available presentations from this year's numerous contributions will be published at the beginning of September under the following link: Presentations - Getvico24 - Goethe-Institut
