Science Film Festival 2026 Debate Competition

Do you have a strong opinion on Artificial Intelligence (AI)?

As part of the Science Film Festival (SFF) 2026, the Goethe-Institut Bangladesh is launching a debate competition on this year's theme, Artificial Intelligence (AI). We invite school students from across the country to step up, challenge ideas, and make their voices heard on one of the most important topics shaping our future.

This is an opportunity for young minds to showcase their critical thinking and public speaking skills while engaging in meaningful discussions on AI — its promise, its risks, and its role in our everyday lives.

Theme 2026: Artificial Intelligence

The Science Film Festival 2026 explores Artificial Intelligence – a rapidly advancing technology transforming how we live, work, and understand the world. AI is increasingly being used to address environmental and sustainability challenges, from monitoring biodiversity to optimizing renewable energy and modeling climate change. Yet its rise also brings complex questions about ethics, transparency, and environmental impact. The festival invites audiences to reflect on how AI can be developed and applied responsibly – balancing innovation with sustainability and human values.
