Johannes, the new caretaker of a block of flats in Berlin, meets with suspicion on his very first day at work. While he is supervising the loading of an office container into the inner courtyard, a stranger throws an egg at him. The situation becomes even more tense when a neighbor named Erik complains about the new location of the garbage cans and tries to get other residents on his side. Several of the residents from different backgrounds and classes gradually clash when the police suddenly block access to the apartment block. No one is allowed in or out - no one knows why. Unrest and fear spread among the residents as rumors begin to circulate. Prejudice and general insecurity threaten the once harmonious coexistence, while the residents struggle with their own everyday problems. - filmportal
