CinéAllemand
A series of German films with English subtitles presented by the Goethe-Institut Ottawa at its premises located at the Alliance Française d'Ottawa (352 MacLaren Street, K2P 0M6).
Arts in the Cinema
With Girls/Museum, visual artist and photographer Shelly Silver invites us to follow children and young women aged between 7 and 19 from diverse backgrounds to the Museum of Fine Arts in Leipzig for a critical and artistic analysis unlike any other. Love, the Deutschmark and the Death by Cem Kaya tells the story of the unique music of Turkish immigrant workers and their grandchildren in Germany. A musical culture that exists in this form only in Germany and is thus part of the cultural heritage. And in June, we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Austrian writer and poet Ingeborg Bachmann, who was born on 25 June 1926 (and died on 17 October 1973), with Margarethe von Trotta's monumental biopic Ingeborg Bachmann - Journey into the Desert.
