Weil du bist, wie du bist (Because you are who you are) is a picture book story about courage, self-confidence, and joie de vivre—even on rainy days.
The rain has stopped, but Emma still wants to wear her new yellow rain cape—everywhere. Neither mocking looks nor snide remarks can persuade her to take it off. For a whole week! In the afternoon at the playground, the other children's parents look at her strangely, and even the nice strawberry seller scratches his head. But Emma is prepared, and when the rain comes down with a vengeance, the thick raindrops simply roll off Emma's yellow rain cape. She laughs and dances while the other children rush home.
“I told you it was going to rain!” she shouts joyfully.
The book is a German children's book, suitable for children aged 4 and up.
After reading it aloud, we will be creating self-portraits with fancy costumes.
