At the beginning, preludes from three different collections will be heard: Johann
Sebastian Bach's Prelude and Fugue in Minor BWV853, a selection of
Claude Debussy's Preludes and
Tears from
Matthew Whittall's
Leaves of Grass collection, inspired by Walt Whitman's poem of the same name. The second section of the concert includes
Ludwig van Beethoven's trio op. 70 no. 1, whose title
Geister is probably based on the ghostly tones of its second part.
