Across ten themed episodes, pupils are gently introduced to the idea of learning another language — and how much fun it can be. Emma, our presenter, together with Felix and Franzi, guide children through everyday situations in Germany — entirely in German. Pupils are encouraged to:

Lesson One

Hello and how are you?

It's Felix the Frog and Franzi the Duck, popping out of their bight yellow letterbox to say Hallo! In this first video, Felix and Franzi meet Emma and invite children to learn their very first German greetings. Through songs, listening activities and playful repetition, pupils discover how to say hello and ask how someone is feeling - all in German.

Lesson Two

Visitors from Germany

In this second episode, Visitors from Germany, Felix and Franzi are thrilled to welcome their animal friends from the Berlin Zoo to the UK. Together with Emma, they introduce each animal to the children, helping them learn the German names through lively songs, simple repetition and playful activities. The visit turns into a fun mini‑adventure that builds pupils’ confidence with new vocabulary while keeping the learning joyful and engaging.
