Update as of 16.07.2020:
Due to the COVID19 situation, the Goethe-Institut Glasgow had to temporarily close its doors to the public and has moved all current activities online. Following the Scottish government’s guidelines on the easing of lockdown, we are now working hard on planning a careful return to our building during the second half of the year.

The Goethe Institute Glasgow organises and supports a broad spectrum of cultural events. It provides a stage in Scotland for the German art scene and for intercultural exchanges.

Our language department offers German language courses & exams, as well as workshops and seminars for teachers of German.

The library and information centre of the Goethe-Institut Glasgow serves as a resource for those interested in contemporary Germany, and for those interested in teaching and studying German as a foreign language with an extensive stock of print and audiovisual media. In addition, we offer 2 computers for individual access to the internet for research purposes.
