The film festival Fokus, Films from Germany is ready for its 8th instalment! Supported by FilmHub Scotland, the Goethe-Institut Glasgow is celebrating the 8th anniversary of the Scotland-wide German film festival Fokus.
The announced programme showcases the diversity of voices found in German cinema – past and present. Between 9 January – 31 January 2024, Fokus will celebrate the range of German contemporary filmmaking. Goethe-Institut Glasgow presents a selection of films highlighting unique voices in German film, chosen in cooperation with Rod White, former Head of Programming, Filmhouse Cinemas, who has curated the shortlist.
Together with its partner cinemas in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, St Andrews, Ayr, and Dumfries, Fokus presents a diverse and engaging selection of German cinema, covering a range of themes and genres and screened in their original language with English subtitles.
