We are delighted to present the programme for the Fokus Film Festival 2025! Our guest curator, Camilla Baier, has put together an impressive selection of films for the next edition, inviting you to explore the many facets of personal and collective identity.

The Fokus Film Festival offers a diverse and captivating selection of recent German films, covering a wide range of themes and genres. All films will be screened in their original language with English subtitles.

Camilla Baier is an experienced film programmer and cultural event producer, as well as the co-founder of the feminist film collective "Invisible Women" in Edinburgh. She studied Film, Exhibition, and Curation at the University of Edinburgh and is passionately committed to bringing forgotten women in film history back into the spotlight.

The festival will take place from January 21 (opening) to February 20, 2025. During these four weeks, you are invited to watch films as part of our festival across Scotland.
