Goethe Excellence Scholarship

Please visit the Course Calendar 2026 before indicating your preference. Deutsch Intensiv Kompakt in Berlin and Munich lasts 2 weeks, while Deutsch Intensiv at other institutes lasts 3 weeks.

By submitting my applicaton, I hereby confirm my understanding that:

(a) The provision of all personal information requested in this form is obligatory, and failure to provide such information and the required documents subsequently may affect the processing and outcome of the application. I declare that the information provided in this application is, to the best of my knowledge, complete and accurate. Any misrepresentation may lead to disqualification.

(b) All work as presented in the application is my own intellectual creation. I understand that the use of any generative artificial intelligence composition software (for example, ChatGPT) is strictly prohibited, and such unauthorized use may result in disqualification.

(c) The award decisions for the Scholarship are made based on factors including, but not limited to, my academic performance, quality of video presentation, personal statement, German language proficiency, experience and engagement in German learning, and the quality and completeness of submitted documents. Satisfying the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee an award.

(d) Upon request by the Institute, I agree to furnish supporting documents, including, but not limited to, certifications of German language proficiency, as well as other documents as evidence of achievement that may support my application, to the Goethe-Institut within the required timeframe.

(e) If I am selected as winner, I consent to my video presentation being used and published on the websites and social media channels of the Goethe-Institut, and upon further consent, those of partners of the Goethe-Institut.

(f) Upon completion of the scholarship, I am obligated to furnish an experience report according to guidelines later provided by staff members of the Goethe-Institut, as fulfillment of the scholarship agreement.

I fully understand and agree that the Institute may use all personal data provided herein for the purposes of reviewing, approving, and administering the Goethe Excellence Scholarship application and any matters relating to the Goethe Excellence Scholarship, in accordance with the contents of the Privacy Policy Statement of the Institute.
