Land of inventors
Research in Germany

Car, TV or computer – German inventions change the world.

At the moment Germany ranks amongst the top 3 nations when it comes to patent registrations, and reports continued growth in the number of people employed in science and research. So these are good prospects for an innovative future in an innovative country – and also for young people from all around the world who are interested in studying or doing a research placement in Germany.

The Goethe-Institut has dedicated an exhibition to Land of Inventors – Research in Germany, in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute and the Max Planck Society.

LAND OF INVENTORS – RESEARCH IN GERMANY focuses on world-changing German inventions across the scientific disciplines. The spotlight is on both historical discoveries and pioneering innovations – not forgetting to take a look at the research environment in Germany of course.

LAND OF INVENTORS – RESEARCH IN GERMANY is a travelling exhibition that will tour Goethe-Institut centres around the world for several years. It is primarily targeted at young people aged 15 – 25 from schools and universities. The exhibition is bilingual – in German and the host country language.

The exhibition is divided into seven subject areas deduced from the everyday life of the visitors.
