The documentary silent film BERLIN – SYMPHONY OF A METROPOLIS shows one day in the Berlin of the roaring Twenties. It presents various facets of the vibrant metropolis on the river Spree and traces the city’s rhythm from morning until nighttime. The film portrays Berlin’s many different faces: workers, schoolchildren, employees, beggars, mannequins as well as street canyons, luxury hotels, factories and rushing traffic everywhere.

The silent film is accompanied by Edmund Meisel’s original score from 1927.
