Step 1: Are you already a member of the library?

You can find out about the usage conditions of the library on our website and fill out this form in advance in order to submit the most important information for your registration and to confirm your e-mail address. Afterwards, drop by the library within the next 7 days to complete the registration process. The library team will also be happy to assist you during a personal visit. If you are already a member of the library, you can proceed directly to step 2.

Step 2: Have you already registered on Mein Goethe.de?

If you have not registered yet on Mein Goethe.de, you can now easily create an account online . Your log-in data from Mein Goethe.de will be used for the log-in in the online catalog. In addition, you can also use all of Goethe's other personalized online offers in the fields of language, culture and library with Mein Goethe.de. If you have already registered on Mein Goethe.de, you do not have to register again. Please go directly to step 3.

In order to activate your account, the library team needs the e-mail address with which you registered with Mein Goethe.de. Please fill out our registration form and send it to the library. After you submit the form, the library will inform you as soon as you have activated your use of the online catalog of the library. As a rule, activation is completed within two working days.

In the Online-Catalog (OPAC) of our library you can browse around the clock in the media offer and get an overview of the books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and electronic resources that are in our stock.

If you have a library membership, you can also log in to the online catalog with your account. The personalized use of the OPAC offers the following advantages:

Display the media you borrow, including the due date
Extend the loan period of your media
Insight into open and paid fees
Transmission of purchase proposals for the media stock of the library
Commentation on media
Overview of media you have borrowed in the past
