Concept/Idea: “Flow States" creates a direct connection between physical presence and digital response. When participants step onto a pressure mat, their movement generates real-time ripple effects through a field of flowing particles. The piece explores how simple actions can create complex, beautiful patterns in digital ecosystems-making the invisible impact of our presence visible.
Inspiration Context: This work emerged from creative coding workshops exploring how algorithms can generate organic, fluid motion. Inspired by natural phenomena like schools offish, flocking birds, and ripple patterns in water, the piece translates these natural behaviours into a digital context. It continues the tradition of interactive art that makes technology feel intuitive and human-centred.
Artist Statement: As an emerging creator in digital media, I'm fascinated by how code can create experiences that feel alive and responsive. My work focuses on building bridges between human interaction and digital expression, transforming abstract algorithms into sensual, meditative experiences. This piece represents my exploration of how technology can help us see the beauty in complex systems and our role within them.
