Chen Zao

Photo: Chen Zao Chen Zao studied Pharmacology at Beijing University from 2002 to 2007. In 2007 she left the lab and changed her major to German. In 2016 she earned her doctorate at the Shanghai International Studies University. Since 2017 she has been working as Assistant Professor at the University of Shenzhen.

Her passion for translating began with Rilke's Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge. She treated this work in her doctoral thesis. Chen Zao lives in Shenzhen.
