The Goethe-Institut Thailand is proud to welcome Heinz Hermanns, director of the Berlin international film festival (Interfilm Berlin), to present a film screening on February 15th. Hermanns will show a selection of ten fictional and animated short films which took part in the 32nd Short Film Festival in November 2016. The program will be approx. 80 minutes long and will be accompanied by discussions and a short presentation about the festival and shorts in general.

Interfilm Berlin was founded in 1982 and has established itself as one of the most important and biggest short film festivals world-wide. More than 6000 films, each with a maximum running time of 20 minutes, are submitted every year from more than 100 countries. Approximately 500 of them are selected and organized into different thematic programs. These include the international and German competitions but also specific sections for documentary, internet and political shorts. The programs in focus highlight productions from specific genres or countries whereas special sections are devoted to areas such as music videos, commercials, retrospectives and more.
