From January 28th until February 24th 2018, a variety of films will be screened in a large cinema bus with a capacity to seat over one hundred viewers! This mobile cinema will function as a temporary film library at the Chiang Mai University Art Center. The screenings will be organized by the state-run Thai Film Archive and admission is free.

The Goethe-Institut Thailand supports and contributes to this project with the screening of one of the most popular German films of recent times - “Victoria“ (2015) by Sebastian Schipper. Film enthusiasts can see this award-winning movie at the Art Center of Chiang Mai University on February 6th 2018 at 18.30h.

The film is about Victoria, a young woman from  Madrid. She meets Sonne and his friends outside a Berlin night club. These young men were born and bred in Berlin and promise Victoria an exciting time in the German capital by showing her the “real” Berlin. However, the group of friends have been in big trouble and owe someone a dangerous favour which needs to be returned that very evening. When Victoria and Sonne  fall in love, Sonne manages to convince Victoria to participate in their fatal mission. What starts off as a fun evening, quickly spirals out of control.
