Connecting through Music and Video Art in Times of Social Distancing

Artists and cultural institutions worldwide are faced with existential challenges as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. Museums, cinemas and theatres have been closed indefinitely, musicians cannot play concerts, and many international cultural events have been cancelled. At present, the only way artists and cultural organizations can present their work to an audience is via digital formats. However, digitization not only makes the arts accessible from home and across borders, but is also accompanied by experimental and innovative features.

NØR formerly known as BLAENK MINDS is a Berlin-based audiovisual DJ team surfing the edges of information and emotion, Avantgarde and mainstream. What makes them so unique, is that they produce their own visuals for every track they play and every video is a collaboration of different artists. Audio and video are not separated – they are one!

The live-streaming session is brought to you by the Goethe-Institut Thailand in cooperation with De Commune and mixes original works by NØR with the results from a series of workshops with students from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and Chiang Mai University, as well as archive footage celebrating the 60 Year Anniversary of the Goethe-Institut Thailand in 2020.

Please enjoy responsibly and maintain social distancing guidelines.
