“Other World on the MOVE” invites you to dive into the depths of a classroom. In everyday school life, a classroom is a practically arranged place. All the things, the bags, desks, pens, and books, are used quickly and with a precise function. What would it be like if we paused for a moment and looked at things closely or from a different perspective – all the things in the room that we are so familiar with?

“Other World on the MOVE” is a collaboration between Alfredo Zinola, a German-based Italian artist and Kage Mulvilai, a Thai artist, who work and explore in the contexts of an actual Thai classroom. Adapted from the original production, “Other World”, created in 2020 in Germany by Alfredo Zinola and Anne-Hélène Kotoujansky, the dance performance is specifically conceived to take place in a classroom, an aesthetic experience for elementary school children that will change their perspective on the familiar surroundings.

This production is supported by the International Co-production Fund of the Goethe-Institut, as well as the NATIONALES PERFORMANCE NETZ International Guest Performance Fund for Dance, which is funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media. The performance will be available for free and on-demand in a VDO format through BICT on(line) the MOVE, an online children’s theatre festival at www.bictfest.com during 5-14 November 2021. The on-demand VDO performance will be available until 30 November 2021.
