KulturHub is a regular series of activities put on by the Goethe-Institut Library that provide you with an opportunity to learn about German culture and lifestyles through a combination of discussion with invited guests and hands-on experience.

Chef Fai has spent many years developing her bakery skills alongside her studies in art history, and so she is the perfect guide for those looking to understand the connections between food and culture in Europe. Chef Fai will give a demonstration of how to make German bread (and you may get to help out too, if you’re lucky!) and introduce us to various types of bread that are popular in Germany, including Brezel, Kaisersemmel, Vollkornbrot, and Brötchen.

In addition to getting to know some German breads, you’ll be able to make your own sandwiches from the freshly baked loaves that we’ll prepare.

Saturday, 15th July, 1.00-2.30pm.
