Prof. Caspar Frantz, Professor of Piano Chamber Music at the University of Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig, will give a concert at the Goethe-Institut Thailand.

Prof. Frantz will perform solo piano works from the classical repertoire, in addition to chamber music with members of the Thai ensemble “Om and Friends”.

The concert marks the conclusion of the piano masterclass led by Prof. Frantz at the Goethe-Institut Thailand.

Caspar Frantz

Professor of Piano Chamber Music

Caspar Frantz is a professor of Piano Chamber Music at the “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” University of Music and Theatre in Leipzig. His recordings have gained international acclaim and are considered significant interpretations of the classical repertoire. His latest release features early and late solo works by Robert Schumann. Since his debut at the Rheingau Musik Festival, Caspar Frantz has performed at major festivals and prestigious concert halls both in Europe and internationally. He has toured with ensembles such as the Bundesjugendorchester (National Youth Orchestra of Germany) through South Africa and performed with orchestras including the Polish Chamber Philharmonic, Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, and the Berlin-based Soloist Ensemble Kaleidoskop. In 2010, Caspar Frantz premiered Friedrich von Flotow’s Piano Concerto in C minor with the MDR Orchestra Leipzig under the direction of Michael Sanderling.
