We are excited to invite you to our first-ever TidalCycles and SuperCollider workshop by CRSRCRSRRR and Luis Küffner. The workshop will introduce you to these live-coding platforms for producing electronic music, as well as learning about mini-notation, non-linear sequencers, and algorithmic approaches.

[Workshop 1 TidalCycles]
Instructor: CRSRCRSRRR

TidalCycles is one of the influential live-coding programmes in Algorave culture, specialised in fast-paced pattern building, rapid time variation, and flexibility for outboard music instrument connectivity. Fueling Algorave culture, TidalCycles found its way into various settings such as Club Raves, Ambient Sessions, procedural music generation in exhibitions and studio albums.

[Workshop 2 SuperCollider]
Instructor: Luis Küffner

This workshop introduces SuperCollider as a programming language for sound synthesis, algorithmic composition/sequencing, and live electronics. Participants will explore core concepts and practical techniques for generating, structuring, and manipulating sound in real time.
SuperCollider is an open-source live audio synthesis language that started in 2002. The language prioritises in-depth parameter control and portability. In the modern day, SuperCollider is the backbone of many portable instruments and contemporary music practices.
