About The Artists

  • Sarah Farina

DJ, producer, curator and community organizer

Sarah Farina is a DJ, producer, curator and community organizer from Berlin. Drawn into the city's club scene by early Missy Elliott, Aphex Twin and J Dilla releases, she developed RainbowBass — a genre-rejecting style that blends bass-heavy frequencies, futuristic beats and excursions across the hardcore continuum.

With friends, she curates the Berlin event series Emergent Bass, centred on the cultural histories of underground club music and the Afro-diasporic influences shaping it. She speaks openly about the problems within current club culture and coordinates the project Transmission with Dr. Kerstin Meißner, which makes the political relevance and history of international sound, club and rave culture visible.

She has organized and led DJ workshops in Rwanda, Uganda, Alexandria and Detroit, among other places. Her aim throughout: to understand music, DJing and club culture not only as production or consumption, but as something communal and conscious.
She is connected to crews including Underground Resistance, Teklife, Hyperdub, Deep Medi, Buraka Som Sistema, Modeselektor and Exit Records, and has shared line-ups with DJ Rashad, DJ Storm, Laurent Garnier, Kode9, François K and Lady Leshurr. Three Boiler Room sets document her mixing and selection.

Through NON NON NON, Mae has cultivated platforms for visibility and collaboration — curating club nights, workshops, and showcases that unite local and international artists. She has performed across Asia and Europe, alongside artists whose work resonates with feminist and queer movements.

Her vision and sound have been featured in Mixmag Asia, Mixmag Germany, T-Mag (Italy), Electronic Beats, Mixcloud, and Apple Music — positioning her as a vital voice connecting Bangkok’s queer soundscape to the global underground, while leading narrative-driven projects that bridge music, performance, and community.
