Konzert Chamber Music and Piano Concert

The Goethe-Institut is proud to present its first concert of the new year. The outstanding German-Korean pianist Caroline Fischer will perform together with Thai musicians Siripong Tiptan, Miti Wisuthumporn and Apichai Leamthong to bring you selected works of Grieg, Fauré und Saint-Saëns in a chamber music concert.

The concert will take place in the Goethe Saal of the Goethe-Institut Thailand on February 2nd, 2017 at 19.30hrs. Admission is free. Come along and enjoy the three wonderful works:
  • Sonata No.3 in C minor , Op.45 for violin and piano by Edvard Grieg
  • Allegro appassionato in C-sharp minor, Op. 70 for Piano von Saint-Saëns
  • Piano Quartet No. 1 in C minor, Op. 15 by Gabriel Fauré 
The musicians

Caroline Fischer, pianist

Caroline Fischer is an extremely talented German-Korean concert pianist who has given numerous successful concerts in Europe, Asia, South America and the United States. In Bangkok she is the youngest visiting artist to teach at the Chulalongkorn University Bangkok. Read more

Siripong Tiptan, violinist
Thai music critics and classical music lovers all consider Siripong to be “one of the best and most enchanting of all young musicians“.  Siripong is now  concertmaster of the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra.

Miti Wisuthumporn, violist
Miti teaches viola at the Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Music Education of the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music.

Apichai Leamthong, cellist
Apichai is currently deputy cellist of the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (BSO). He is also head of the Bachelor’s Degree Programme at the Rangsit University Conservatory of Music.
