The word "TABU" is written in the largest font . The letters "T", "B", and "U" are red, while the "A" has been replaced by the black silhouette of a man. This silhouette serves as a symbol for the individual (homosexual) player who remains nearly invisible within the football system or occupies a void. © Broadview Distribution GmbH/adapted for landscape format with AI/Canva

As part of Pride Month, join us for a screening of The Last Taboo (German: Das Letzte Tabu), a documentary exploring homophobia in professional sports and the experiences of LGBTQ+ athletes in highly competitive sporting environments.

Following the screening, join us for a talk-back discussion featuring members of our partner, Team DC, as they reflect on the film and explore its ongoing relevance and impact.

Presented with support from TEAM DC.

UPDATE: We regret to inform that the screening of The Last Taboo, scheduled to take place at the Goethe-Institut Washington on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, needs to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will inform you as soon as a new date has been confirmed. Thank you for your understanding.
