Activating pupils is one of the most important – and sometimes most difficult – challenges any teacher faces. The Goethe-Institut in India has therefore put together a series of cultural events and competitions designed to help you motivate your pupils and to make learning German more fun.

“Step into German” offers young people at the A2/B1 level everything they need to know about German pop culture: from current songs and soccer stories to movies and exciting podcasts.

Competitions

  • Internationale Deutscholympiade

    The Internationale Deutscholympiade (IDO) is the world’s largest competition for German language learners. Young people aged 14–17 showcase their German language skills and have the chance to win the title of best German language learner.

  • Artificial Intelligence – Creative and Critical

    We are launching the global youth competition“KIKUK – Artificial Intelligence Creative and Critical”for the second time! This year’s motto is“My Future with AI”. The KIKUK competition once again invites students from around the world to engage creatively and critically with the use of artificial intelligence – and to actively shape their own future.

Educational Training Series: Do something!

Our Educational Training Series for Civic Engagement. In a world that is increasingly characterized by polarization, misinformation and discrimination, civic engagement is becoming more and more important. We have developed a special educational series to prepare German teachers for these challenges and actively involve students.

    We are pleased to offer live conversations with German politicians to schools in the USA to promote transatlantic exchange and increase interest in a current image of Germany.
