Class Materials: Spielbeginn!

Sports bring language to life – and this new material package for German classes captures exactly that. Aimed at levels A1–A2, learners practice essential language structures in everyday contexts while exploring the diversity of sports, movement, and health. From Soccer to nutrition, music, and fan culture, the varied topics create motivating opportunities to speak, encourage communication, and strengthen team spirit.

The materials are highly flexible and can be used for a single lesson, a project week, or as a thematic focus. With engaging tasks and games, learners expand their vocabulary and improve listening and reading skills, while cultural insights broaden their intercultural perspective. Practical tips, differentiation options, and complete answer keys make preparation easy and allow teachers to adapt the content to their specific groups. This way, movement, fun, and current topics find their way straight into the classroom.

Class Materials: Anpfiff!

Soccer inspires people all over the world – and offers many engaging points of connection for German language teaching. This material package builds precisely at that intersection: it combines language learning with current social issues and creates motivating opportunities for classroom discussion and communication. The eight units address key topics such as integration, sustainability, values, media, fan culture, equality, and the economic dimensions of football, making them accessible for German as a Foreign Language instruction.

Learners work with authentic texts, videos, headlines, and creative task formats. They expand their vocabulary, practice reading, listening, and viewing comprehension, and develop their speaking skills through discussions, role plays, and project-based tasks. At the same time, they critically reflect on the role of soccer in society and engage with values such as respect, team spirit, and diversity.
