What do we mean when we talk about inclusive arts? About accessibility in artistic practice? About the experiences of individuals and communities when a disabled body must navigate a world not designed for them? Or can it extend to broader issues, such as ecology and mobility?
To encourage diverse discussions on inclusive arts in relation to other contemporary issues, and to foster collaboration between disabled and non-disabled practitioners, Goethe-Institut Hanoi presents "Bodyscape: A Program of Inclusive Dance and Performance" featuring Austrian choreographer and performer Michael Turinsky, in collaboration with Kinergie Studio.
The program includes a 3-day intensive workshop exploring the relationship between body and landscape, a performance showcase, and a public talk on the potential of inclusive arts in Vietnam and Europe. Together, we will build movement languages that embrace individual differences while exploring our shared experience of being bodies in the world.
