Voices for tomorrow

In the 2025–2027 edition, Voices for Tomorrow works with four civil society organization (CSO) partners across three documentary film projects, following a multidisciplinary and community‑based approach.

The program partners with the Center for Social Research and Development (CSRD), Chạm Vào Xanh, Hanoi Pride, and the Institute for Studies of Society, Economy and Environment (iSEE). Each organization contributes expertise, community connections, and local knowledge that shape the thematic focus of the projects.

The three selected documentary projects are:

1. Hoang Duy & Quynh Nhi – Environmental Sustainability and Livelihoods in the Tam Giang–Cầu Hai Lagoon System | Developed in collaboration with the Center for Social Research and Development (CSRD), the project explores the relationship between local livelihoods, environmental protection, and community efforts to address environmental challenges in the lagoon.
2. Bảo Nghi & Nguyen Anh – Independent Living and Disability Inclusion | Developed in collaboration with Chạm Vào Xanh, the project focuses on the experiences of adults with cerebral palsy, highlighting the importance of community support, autonomy, and social inclusion in everyday life.
3. Nhat Quang & Hoang Thao – Queer Communities and Urban Transformation | Developed in collaboration with Hanoi Pride and iSEE, the project explores queer communities in Hanoi through drag culture and ballroom practices, examining community spaces, identity, and the impact of urban transformation.

• Research support, contextual consultation, and ethical guidance provided by CSOs to ensure responsible and community‑rooted storytelling.
• Close coordination between filmmakers and CSOs throughout research and filming, enabling access to local environments, lived experiences, and sensitive social contexts.
• Knowledge exchange between filmmakers, CSOs, and audiences, fostering dialogue on sustainability, social inclusion, and cultural preservation through documentary practice.
