Litprom Translation funding

Since 1984, Litprom has been a contact point for the promotion of translations for fictional works from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Arabic World, Israel and Turkey to the German-speaking market. This initiative was and is supposed to empower the literary exchange and the publication of important works from contemporary authors from above mentioned regions. Since 2025, the program has been jointly supported by the Frankfurt Book Fair and the Goethe-Institut. The Goethe-Institut contributes its expertise from a global network as well as financial resources.
