The Goethe-Institut head office is based in Munich. The main entrance is located at Oskar-von-Miller-Ring 18. Car parks within walking distance can be found at Salvatorplatz 3 and Max-Joseph-Platz 4.
Parking for visitors with reduced mobility
There are a few parking spaces directly in front of the building.
You can also use the Siemens AG underground carpark (Jägerstraße 5). Please speak with your contact at the Goethe-Institut or, on arrival, with the reception staff at the entrance on Oskar-von-Miller-Ring 18. The carpark is connected with the Goethe-Institut underground. A stair lift located there can be operated with a EURO key, which can also be borrowed from the reception staff at Oskar-von-Miller-Ring 18.
Directions
From the airport
Please take the train S8 (towards “Weßling”). Get off at “Marienplatz”, then take the underground line U3 (towards “Moosach”) and get off at “Odeonsplatz”.
Additional route: Please take the train S1 (towards “München Ost”), get off at “Karlsplatz/Stachus”, then take the underground line U4 (direction “Arabellapark”) and get off at “Odeonsplatz”.
From central station
Please take the underground lines U5 (towards “Neuperlach Süd”) or U4 (towards “Arabellapark”), get off at “Odeonsplatz”.
Alternatively, if you would like to go by bus, please take the bus line 100 leaving from “Hauptbahnhof Nord” (towards “Ostbahnhof”) or the bus line 58 (towards “Hauptbahnhof Süd”), both leaving from the stop “Hauptbahnhof Nord”, and get off at “Oskar-von-Miller-Ring”.
From other directions
From Munich east station, please take the underground line U5 (towards “Laimer Platz”) and get off at “Odeonsplatz”.
Information for visitors with restricted mobility spending time in the building
Access to the building from the reception area on Oskar-von-Miller-Ring is barrier-free. You can also use the staff entrance on the south side of the building (Jägerstraße). The entrance is 90 cm wide. Lowered kerbs are located in front and diagonally opposite of the entrance to the Siemens underground car park.
There is a designated accessible WC on the ground floor. Please also ask your contact person at the Goethe-Institut for more information.
